The women of the International Society of Microbial Electrochemistry and Technology (WISMET) is a networking and mentoring collective to support female researchers in microbial electrochemistry and electromicrobiology.

Within the WISMET seminar series, Prof. Herkendell was invited to present her research on the integration of waste streams and renewable resources in bioelectrochemical systems for decentralized energy conversion on October 25th. Further information here.
