10th Abby-Net Summer School successfully concluded
For the tenth time, the Abby-Net Summer School took place from August 2 to 9, 2025 – this time in the Kananaskis Valley, Alberta, Canada.
Among the roughly 30 participants were also five students from the Chair of Energy Process Engineering. In addition to numerous lectures and workshops, two exciting excursions were organized: one to various hydropower plants and weather stations in the Kananaskis Valley, and another to the town of Banff. Working in interdisciplinary groups, the students then developed their own concepts for sustainable urban development in Banff. Key focus areas included waste management and the implementation of a green heating supply.
The Abby-Net Summer School takes place annually, alternating between Alberta and Bavaria. Planning for the next Summer School in 2026 in Germany is already underway.
