8th International Seminar on ORC Power Systems in Finnland
From 9 to 11 September 2025, the 8th International Seminar on ORC Power Systems took place in Lappeenranta, Finland. The conference focused on the exchange of information on thermodynamic cycle processes with organic working fluids. In addition to organic Rankine cycles, reversible ORC heat pump systems were discussed in particular. Hannah Cortnum and Maximilian Weitzer represented our chair at this year’s conference with a presentation on experimental and simulated results from the reversible heat pump ORC pilot plant at the Energy Campus. Zeotropic fluid mixtures were investigated as working media, with a focus on a CO2-based fluid mixture.
