Carnot Battery
Highlights:
- Reversible heat pump – ORC process (Carnot Battery) with 15 kWel charging (heat pump) and 9 kWel discharging (ORC)
- Two 4000 liter hot water storages with a total storage capacity of 270 kWhth
- Reversible utilization of heat exchangers and expander/compressor
- Additional heating and cooling cycles to test various boundary conditions
- Fully automated PLC for the testing of different control strategies
